About Me

  • About Me: I'm an old-fashioned country-gal-at-heart who loves Jesus. He's my LIFE & I want to serve Him all my days--& through eternity! (Deut. 30:20) I'm an almost-graduated homeschooler, serving my family at home. God has given me first of all, a heart for HOME--a born-again, saved-by-His-precious- sovereign-grace-and-mercy heart, a heart that longs to be with Him in its eternal HOME, Heaven! And He has given me a desire to embrace His precious design for women as revealed in the Bible. I desire to one day be a faithful wife & mother, a keeper-at-home and husband-heart-trust*, if this is God's will. But if not, I will serve Him faithfully as a single woman [1 Cor. 7]. However He leads me, I have a heart for home--to see men & women embracing God's design for life, for marriage, for child-raising-- and to do my part to shed His light and love in my home and in my interactions with others. I pray my blog will be an encouragement to readers to seek God in all circumstances. *See Proverbs 31:11

  • Where I shop: Goodwill, thrift stores, or any place with good prices & modest clothing or accessories :-)
  • Brands I love: Hmmm. . .these aren't "brands", but they are characteristics--MODEST & LADYLIKE!
  • I like to wear: Clothing that conveys femininity but is modest, allowing persons to focus on the real person and not the body, and most importantly, to focus on the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. Specifically, I enjoy wearing long, flowing skirts and dresses, and modest blouses. I am especially partial to the color blue. :-)
  • Can't live without: GOD :-) (Oh, sorry, was this meant to say I couldn't live without a certain article of clothing??? "But if God so arrays the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O men of little faith!. . . . "But seek for His kingdom, and these things shall be added to you. . . . "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." [Luke 12:28, 31, & 34] )

More About Me

  • Nationality: I'm of Adam & Eve's race--and Noah's too. So that means--I'm [distantly] related to all of you! But, the nation I reside in is the USA [and by the way, we're a Constitutional Republic--not a pure democracy!]
  • Religion: I live and exist to love and serve the triune God--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It's not just a "religion"--it's a relationship!
  • Interests: First of all, living in the light of Jesus' love. His saving power has transformed me and He is Lord of my life. I enjoy all different aspects of His creation: Loving people, especially children & the elderly; Gardening (especially organic and old-fashioned gardening); raising chickens; petting cats; cooking [using fruits & veggies of God's creation!]; photography. I also love God-honoring hymns and spiritual songs, (love to sing them too!) and enjoy beautiful music in general. I am blessed to have Godly parents and grandparents and to be able to learn from their examples and wisdom. Serving my family at home and reaching out to family, friends, and even strangers is a joy and a privilege. If it's in His Will and time for me, I hope one day to be a faithful helpmeet to a Godly husband and raise arrows (children) in the fear and admonition of the LORD.
